My name is Anabela, I am a Lisbon-based photographer working across performance, events, still life, interiors, and portraiture. Whatever the subject, I look for the same thing: the essence of a moment, the feeling beneath the surface, the story worth telling.

My background is in stagecraft. I spent over a decade working with lighting, special effects, and projections for companies including Cirque du Soleil and Dragone. That time taught me how atmosphere is built, how light shapes meaning, and how to be present inside a creative environment without disrupting it. I carry that awareness into everything I shoot.

I work with both digital and film. My approach is mindful and cinematic. I am drawn to quiet moments as much as to spectacle, and I try to bring the same quality of attention to both.

My work has been published in Ponto Final, Macau, and in 2025 I held press accreditation at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, delivering image galleries across multiple productions.
